The True Meaning of Christmas
Christmas is a yearly holiday, which is celebrated on December 25th and honors the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. Many believe that Jesus was born on the 25th of December however it is not actually believed to be his actual birthday. It is thought that December 25th was selected to match up with either the winter solstice or one of the Roman festivals.
These days Christmas is renowned for the giving of gifts as well as attending Church services and exhibiting decorations, such as Christmas trees, lights, tinsel and much more. Children love Christmas time as they receive gifts from Santa Clues also known as Father Christmas. Santa Claus and Father Christmas both have two different origins. Santa Claus also known as Father Christmas, Kris Kringle, Saint Nicholas or Santa is the well-known imaginary figure, and is recognized in countless Western cultures for being the man that brings gifts to children who are well behaved on Christmas Eve. Father Christmas on the other hand is what English speaking people call the representative figure connected with Christmas.
Christmas is for everyone, both Christians and non-Christians. Christmas has also turned out to be a most important event for numerous retailers due to the gift giving.

Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is the most significant and largest part and of the long-established Chinese holidays. It is on occasion referred to as the “Lunar New Year” by English speaking countries. The festival customarily takes place the first day of the month in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th day. They referred to this day as “Lantern Festival”. Chinese New Year’s Eve also known as “Chu xi” simply means “Year-pass Eve”.
The foundation of Chinese New Year is itself centuries old and gains importance for more than a few myths and customs. Ancient Chinese New Year is a manifestation on how the citizens conduct themselves and what they accept as true.

Easter
Easter is the imperative yearly religious feast in the Christian liturgical year. Based on the Christian scripture, Jesus was resurrected from the dead on the third day of his crucifixion. Christians commemorate this resurrection on Easter Day or Easter Sunday which is also known as Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday, two days after Good Friday and three days after Maunday Thursday. The chronology of his death and resurrection is variously interpreted to be involving AD 26 and AD36. Easter also refers to the period of the church year called Easteride or the Easter Season. By tradition the Easter Season went for a total of forty days from Easter Day until Ascension Day but now days goes officially for the fifty days until Pentecost. The first week of the Easter Season is known as Easter Week or the Octave of Easter. Easter is a also s the end of Lent, a period of fasting, prayer, and penance.
