Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year


Chinese New Year or Spring Festival is the most significant and largest part and of the long-established Chinese holidays. It is on occasion referred to as the “Lunar New Year” by English speaking countries. The festival customarily takes place the first day of the month in the Chinese calendar and ends on the 15th day. They referred to this day as “Lantern Festival”. Chinese New Year’s Eve also known as “Chu xi” simply means “Year-pass Eve”.


The foundation of Chinese New Year is itself centuries old and gains importance for more than a few myths and customs. Ancient Chinese New Year is a manifestation on how the citizens conduct themselves and what they accept as true.

Dragon Fantasy

Tiger Call out - Happy New Year - Year of the tiger 2010 was designed on Thursday 4th February 2010. It is the original art work of Sketchart26.
