Sketchart26 on 13th of December 2011, whilst on a holiday with friends and family in Mildura. It’s a great design for all that loves boats or ships.
The Mundoo was built in 1987 at Goolwa, South Australia, by Jock Veenstra and his family owned the company. Back in 1892 the Mudoo was originally powered by the Garrett and Sons steam engine and boiler which had been restored to ideal condition. This boiler was from the P.S. Pyap. The Mundoo was re purchased by Captain Alby Pointon in 1999 to add to his paddleboat business which operated out of Mildura. December 5th 1999, an epic 888 kilometre’s was taken by the Mundoo from Goolwa to Mildura at an average speed of 8km/h and arrived in Mildura eleven days later on the 16th of December 1999. The Mundoo was immediately introduced to regular cruises to help fill the demand f weddings, dining cruises and charter groups. As a result of the fast flowing Murray River, the original boiler was replaced with a diesel engine and hydraulic motor to increase the power necessary to run in these waters. This allows the Mundoo to safely run in all river and weather conditions. The construction of the Mundoo is 34.9 meters long and has quality timer ceilings, bar, dining facilities and a kitchen allowing it to cater for up to 180 passengers.
It’s suitable for all ages. If you like the design and would like it on a product not already in store, please let me know by emailing me through the “end Message” link and I’ll be only too happy to help.
